TWICE Sana Confirmed for Acting Debut in Nyangi Movie

TWICE member Sana is officially set to make her acting debut in the upcoming Korea-Japan film Nyangi (working title). The project will also mark her first-ever movie role since debuting as a K-pop idol in 2015. According to an OSEN report on July 8, Sana recently received the screenplay for Nyangi and decided to join the cast. She will star opposite Japanese actor Takeru Satoh, making the film one of the most anticipated Korea-Japan collaborations currently in development.

TWICE's Sana to Make Her First Movie Appearance

Nyangi is a joint production between South Korea and Japan, with Takeru Satoh and Sana cast as the lead actors. The film will be directed by Kwon Hyukchan. Filming is scheduled to begin in Japan during the second half of this year. The production will be managed by the Korean production companies and carried out with an all-Korean staff. Although the plot has not yet been revealed, the project has already attracted attention thanks to its international scale and the pairing of two popular stars from Korea and Japan.

Sana Expands Her Career Beyond K-Pop

Since debuting with TWICE in 2015, Sana has become one of the group's most recognizable members, helping the nine-member group build a massive global fanbase over the past decade.

More recently, several TWICE members have begun exploring acting opportunities. Dahyun has already taken on film projects, while members including Jeongyeon and now Sana continue to broaden their careers beyond music. Fans are especially looking forward to seeing Sana's on-screen chemistry with Takeru Satoh, who is widely known for his performances in romance projects and enjoys strong popularity throughout Asia.

TWICE Continues World Tour

While preparing for her acting debut, Sana remains active with TWICE, which is currently holding its 'THIS IS FOR' world tour.

The group is scheduled to hold the final Seoul concerts from July 10 to 12 at KSPO DOME, celebrating another major milestone after more than 10 years together with all nine original members.

Sana's acting debut in Nyangi marks an exciting new chapter in her career as she expands beyond music into film. More details regarding Nyangi and TWICE's upcoming schedules will be announced later.
