Actor Lee Dongwook's agency will take legal action against the false rumors about Lee Dongwook as a part of Shincheonji which is being spread online.
On Tuesday, King Kong by Starship, Lee Dongwook's agency, said on its official social media account that it has recently confirmed that false information regarding certain religions is spreading against its artists and that the company plans to take legal action against rumors, malicious slander and other postings that have nothing to do with the facts.
"We will also respond to acts that damage artists' honor and character, such as expanding rumors and reproducing through the distribution of postings, based on legal procedures," it added.
Amid the spread of the Corona19 virus, Sincheonji religion is considered the center of the spread of the virus, some celebrities, including Lee Dongwook, said it in online that they are part of Sincheonji, causing controversy.
